I have two worksheets, A and B.
I would like the contents on sheet A to be copied AS AND WHEN IT IS ENTERED into sheet B.
I have done the '=SheetA!A1' formula to copy the cells, BUT it does not like copying cells with text in.
Does anybody know how to overcome this? It works fine with figures...

What you are describing should work - it worked just fine for me. What shows up in Sheet b after you enter '=SheetA!A1' in SheetB!a1?

=ACAC!C18 (ACAC is the sheet name, C18 is the cell...) so not the text I am looking for!
Question Author
The formula I am using is =IF(ACAC!C18,ACAC!C18,"") as I want the cell to be blank if the prior worksheet cell is blank...and it comes up with #VALUE!
Just tried it, works for me.

='Orig Sheet'!O43

I see the text in the next sheet. Of course it isn't a copy of the text as such, it is a reflection of what I have on the original sheet. It has to be if a change in the original is to be reflected on the other sheet.

To copy the text as a separate thing then just copy and paste special formula.
You may need single quotes around ACAC ?

If ACAC!C18 is what ? Not an expert but I don't think ACAC!C18 represents a boolean value.
Try checking the Excel help for "IS Functions". Must be something there to identify blank cells.

hmmm...if I try it it a new workbook, it works fine, just not on this spreadsheet I have. Very odd. It just displays the formula...
try =IF(ACAC!c18="","",ACAC!c18)
Question Author
No, it just shows the formula still...no error, just the formula.
Hmmm I'd guess it is something to do with formatting. Either the cell, or worksheet, or file.
