Mouse Click Sound (WIN-XP)!

Greetings each.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the dreaded "Mouse Click" sound, please?
I regularly download audio clips (Wavepad), and have had severe problems with "mouse-click" being included!
I have blocked ALL Microsoft "sounds", but still the poxy "mouse-click" seems to be present.
Any ideas please?

Never heard of a mouse-click sound!
If you've turned off the MS sounds, that would suggest that it's provided by some other program - your mouse driver perhaps?
Have you tried looking at the customisation settings for the mouse (they will vary according to manufacturer)?
