Toolbar recovery

Hi,
I am having a nightmare with my new computer. I have watched the video of windows 7, and noticed that I have lost the toolbar at the top, that has "tools" etc. How can I get it back please?

Thanks for quick reply! F11 didn't do it but good answer........bet it is a simple thing to do but can't understand how I lost it ! Tried for help with microsoft but my serial number is not registering either, so no support there.

You've not lost it, it's not a standard part of windows
