Unwanted adverts

Could someone please help me. When I am online and click the top left arrow to go back I keep finding an advert on the page behind. This also happens when I click X top right and instead of being taken back to the previous page I either get another advert or my desktop. This is driving me mad so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Is this just on Answerbank or on all websites?

-Pop up blocker
-Pop up blocker settings.

It happens with everything and sometimes there are more than two pages of adverts. Thanks

Try downloading a spyware checker like Malwarebytes. Sorry I don't have a link on me.

I think you will find that these are adverts called "Pop-unders"and you will need to find a Pop-under blocker to stop them.
I imagine these were invented to get past the pop-up blockers used these days.
Sorry I can't help with a suitable blocker though!!
