Disconnection problems............

My PC has a habit of disconnecting itself from the internet every now and again, it reconnects then disconnects after a minute or so and this continues for a while, the next day it will work fine, I`ve rang Orange tech services and they are no help and just tell me the line is clear, would the weather have any effect on this?
