chineese writing,no avatars or smileys

I g on a web site called hammers mad ( don't hold that against me) for some reason i cannot see anyones avatar. When you write or repl to a post i am supposed to see a list of smileys i can use and all i have is a blank screen.

Also my battery warning bubble comes up in chineese writing.

i have a hp 6735s from new and it is running on xp.

any help would be appreciated

For the 1st problem, you should contact the website administrator of hammers mad.

The 2nd sounds like your regional settings are chinese rather than english.
