I had to return the computer to factory settings. I have an external hard drive with all the old info in it, how do I get the info on the newly reset computer.

just copy it back

in the case of favourites
file | import and export
and just follow the instructions

if you've also dragged the my documents folder over - I'd open it up and drop the contents into the docs folder on the pc
(system foulders sometimes cause problems)
