WMV file assos

Hi Guys, Can anyone advise me as to how I get my Windows Media Player 11 to play videos with the .wmv extension. I'm sure I haven't previously had this problem but when I try to view now I get the message :- create an association in the folders file in the control panel.
Your advice please.

Right click on the WMV file - click on open with -click on choose program if you are using XP or on choose default program if you are using VISTA.

Highlight Windows Media Player and tick the box to always open WMV files with that program and click OK.
