I don't have a wireless receiver in my PC as far as I am aware. If I got a wireless router for my PC can I set my PC up to be used with the router and if so how can it be done? Is there a USB device that can be used for this?

Yes you can use a usb device as the wireless adaptor for your PC. You then need a router and a modem or a router/modem combination.
Just follow the instructions that come with the pieces of kit. It's normally very easy.
why do you want to - what's wrong with your existing kit?

Thanx I'll check out the links. The reason I'm looking into it is cos we're maybe moving the computer from the living room to a bedroom and the connection comes into the living room.
