Scrambled Laptop

My Sony laptop is currently scrambled it keeps coming up with the error saying windows did not start successfully blah blah. Anyway ive tried pressing everything (safe mode etc) still nothing. I think i have to reinstall Windows but thats just me. Any other ideas?
