One of my friends frequently accuses me of not replying to his e mails when I have done. I always reply by pressing the 'reply' button in MS Outlook. But closer examination of my sent box revealed that instead of replying to his correct e mail address, it misses out one of the letters (one of the 'l's in 'phillips'. I am at a loss to understand how this happens as surely the reply system is set up to reply to the senders e mail address exactly not just decide it likes to spell Phillips with one 'l'! Is this the fault of my system or his....does anybody have any ideas and what can be done to sort it out all replies gratefully appreciated thanks!

It could be his fault as you can specify the return email address to be different from the sending address and he may have spelled it wrong at his end.

yes i had the same problem once and the problem was at their end ..
Assuming that your friend uses Outlook Express, he should do the following:
Click Tools/Accounts
On the Mail Tab, double-click his e-mail account
On the General tab, check that his e-mail address is correct in the sections "E-mail address" and "Reply address"

In the meantime, you can send him the existing mails, by clicking "Forward", and manually typing his correct address into the "To" field.
