Footers in Word

I'm trying to insert a footer in a 7-page document. When I look at print preview, the footer reads correctly (page 1 of 7, page 2 of 7 etc.)

Yet when I print the document, the footer reads page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2 etc.

Has anyone else had a problem like this? I've looked on the Help pages and I feel sure I'm following the instructions correctly. Any suggestions please?

Thanks for reply, koster. I am using Word 2000. I followed that link you provided, and installed the updates, but unfortunately I still have the problem! {:0(

Prints out as page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2, page 3 of 3, etc.!
Try reversing the print order (under Tools + Options + Print)

Kempie, that's sorted it - thanks ever so much!!!!

Awww kempie, my excitement was short-lived .....

I've just tried it with a different document and it's back to page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2 etc.

I wonder if it's a fault in the software? I have got round it by manually typing in the footer on each page (printing one page at a time).
