Watching "Catch Up" programmes on ITV

Please can someone tell me why, when I try to watch "catch up" programmes on ITV.com the picture is all bright colours and (if I could spell it) psychedelic?
Also, one of my friends mentioned an "over 18" agreement but I've never had it pop up.
No problems watching "watch again" on BBC by the way.
