Hi, Been having problems with the time in the bottom taskbar. I can't set it to the present time, as when I try through Control Panel, the "Apply" button isn't highlighted. I can "ok" it so the time is correct for the rest of the session, but next time I switch my pc on, the clock reverts back to a time some days ago when the problem started. I'm using Vista. Any ideas how to solve it?

you shouldn't need to do this really.... but it will solve your problem

When you first turn the computer on you should see a message that will say something like "press f2 to enter setup" if you press f2 (or whatever key it says) at this point it will take you into the BIOS for the computer.

Once in here you will be able to set the hardware clock for the PC then if you then save and exit the BOIS it should keep the time OK

is your ID an administrator or a user .... users can't
