PCI Adapter Card - Compaq Presario

Greetings.
I have a rebuilt Compaq Presario SR1879, which now possesses an ASUS EN7200 PCI-E graphics card on a BIOSTAR AM2 motherboard.
The heat sink of the graphics card obscures one of two PCI cards, which leaves me with only one useable.
I now want to install an additional PCI card, but cannot.
I purchased a flexible cable "riser" on Ebay, but still cannot accomodate it.
I have been looking at a couple of "one-to-two" riser cards on Ebay, but cannot be sure whether they will work with this comp.
Does anyone have any better ideas please?

I did see an external unit ages ago that takes 3 or 4 PCI cards which is plugged into a PCI card on the mobo, pretty much like an USB hub. I remember it was ideal for those small comp cases but I am afraid I have no idea what it was called and can't find it now.

I first though this fits in a 5.25" bay but it may be completely separate with a cover.

the price of a half decent graphics card these days is just that - and the dedicated slot means you can't juggle
when you say flex riser ... was it a rigid flexible riser or a flexible flexible riser?

your problem then is isolating and insulating the card ...
don't fall for the leave it in the bag trick ... the silver ones are conductive.
also be careful you don't foul the fan (but I'm sure you know that

The flexible riser, being described as "cable" should indicate it as being "flexible flexible" as it is almost identical to those displayed by your link, except that I paid less for it courtesy of Ebay: YES, it does work OK!
I am now more interested in the dual riser cards displayed on the same page, but need to establish first if any one of them will work with my machine.
I have seen similar on Ebay, but they are usually dedicated to particular brands of comps.

that was the best page I could find for examples ... not price
couple of these and you might as well buy another mobo
it's difficult to visualise how it'll sit in the case.
basically you've got a jigsaw.... but it looks to me as if the fixed fle.... oh you know what I mean ... will either turn the cards into the graphics or ... out of the case.
at least with the flexible you can point it in another direction
but that's two cards ... which is getting expensive
I'm not certain how long the extension could be ... wild's big 'un sounds to be a couple of years old ... and distance=time ... new faster cards might not like being so far from home .... and of course you could well need to get cables connected which is yet more trouble.
niel's is a good alternative ... usb is 1 way.
