Hi, can anyone tell me how (or if I can) add the date to the taskbar (I think that is what you call the line running along the bottom where the date is?)
Yes, I still require step by step instructions, sorry x

If you "hover" your mouse cursor over the time in the taskbar it does show the date.

If you want it there permanently you need to double the height of the takbar.

Move the mouse over the top of the taskbar (the cursor changes to a double headed one) then hold down mouse button 1 to drag the taskbar up.

You may need to unlock the taskbar first.

bossychloe, to answer your question all I did was go into Google and search on "Windows taskbar date" and I found the link I posted (I knew the answer already but just wanted a link).

Ethel may have done the same.

I find that almost ANY simple computer question can be answered by a quick search in Google.

Just enter 2 or 3 "keywords" and do a search and you will probably find an answer.

Windows also has great help (go onto the Start menu and select "Help and Support"). A quick search in there for Taskbar and Date would probably have got you the answer.
