slow to display my computer data.

when i select "my computer" from desk top icon it takes a while for the display of drives on my pc to appear.it searches for up to 2 minutes before information is displayed.any help greatly appreciated.

take any CD's that you are not using out of the drives

how many drives is your computer showing?

do you have any mapped network drives?

showing when found local disc (c),dvd/cd-rw(d),shared docs & john russell docs.
not sure about mapped network devices.
have a wireless connection to my other pc.
