Transferring Music from my comuter to my MP3 Player

Dont know if I`m just being stupid but have bought a new Samsung laptop and I just cant transfer my music to an MP3 player that I got with it! Can anyone help please?

does the laptop recognize the mp3?did you get an installation disc for the mp3?

yes disc installed and computer recognises mp3 player. When it searches all music files it just doesnt recognise music in my files. it will copy cds on to it but nothing stored on computer
