I did a disk backup of my C: drive with Paragon . Then when i re-booted later expecting just a normal boot I was confronted with paragon screen giving me a choice of boot options: my C: drive or D: the recovery partition . Howvever it would'nt boot at all so I ended up pressing f11 for recovery options & did a system restore as I don't really want to do a full 'restore to factory defaults' Now when I boot up I get basically a black screen with 'Boot from
primary 00 WIN VISTA
primary 01 WIN VISTA RECOVERY

Insert startup disk into floppy drive & press f2 for startup options.

I boot from the Vista drive & everything is ok from there but don't understand what happened . All I wanted to do was make a backup of my system drive !! Any advice welcome

Hi mate, it sounds like the recovery has altered the partition. I'm afraid there isn't much you can do unless you do a complete wipe of windows and install a fresh copy
I've never partitioned but you could look at the bios and tell it where to boot from. To open the bios options... On start up,press whichever F button takes you to the set up mode
