Have HP Paviliion I got about a month ago. It's running Windows Vista Home Premium. I had some problems this week (mended now) and I found I was unable to run the System Restore function. have tried a bumber of oints, including one yesterday and I get a message telling me that the restore cannot be done. I do not get an error reason, it just says it is becuase of an unexpected error. How can I fix this?

Having just found u sueful site online it seems that I am not the only person to have received the "System Restore did not complete successfully. Your computer's system files and settings were not changed" message, it seems that doing the system Restore in safe mode will make it work.

So, how do I make my PC run in Safe Mode?!
keep pressing f8 while computer is starting up and should come up with a startup menu and select safe mode from that.

think left shift or left ctrl does same thing too
