Have you tried the Microsoft Office Suite page?

You could also try Open Office which is is totally free.

I'm pretty certain that trial versions aren't updated ....
part of the update process verifies the license ... and you don't have one

From time to time the trial version is updated ... but that's by microsoft ... and intended for new downloaders
