I use a PC for telly viewing. Recordings are saved to the HD. If I want to keep them, then I've been making a regular DVD from them (MPEG files) using "Ulead Movie Factory 4". It's not very bright - slow - and awkward to use. Can anyone recommend a better way?

I would just burn the mpeg files to Dvd disc, as data, assuming your standalone Dvd player will play mpeg files. This is what I have done from my Pc's tv recordings. If you wish to edit the files, before burning, then VideoRedo is a good program.

I think you're right - that seems to be the easiest way. I'll try that editor software as well.
That helps a lot - many thanks.
