I'm not sure if this is common but i've got a bug in my HP Pavillion PC whch is not being picked up by the Norton Spyware scan.

It keeps trying to get me to Yahoo Mail and sometimes tries to go to a http address starting HTTP: WWW.Pavillionbuttonrediect/.......

I have been interrupted 4 times trying to type this!

Has anyone else with a HP Pavillion PC come across this menace?

It sounds like you have a multimedia keyboard...

Try renaming (rather than removing - just in case this doesn't work) the configuration file Hpmmkbd.ini in the Windows folder to see if the redirects disappear.

Thank you Kempie - it sounds like the cause of the problem . I would never have thought of the keyboard as the villain.

I will try that fix later on .

Thanks again

Its the keyboard resetting itself . I reset the keys to default but they reset themselves.

I cant find the file you mentioned so Im still looking at a way to kill this VERY frustrating thing. Ive had to type it in WORD because email launched every SECOND
