The BIOS on my mobo only supports up to Atlon XP 2000+ (no later BIOS version available) but I want to install an XP 2400+ cpu. Can I safely install this and should I increase the FSB or the multiplier to accommodate it?

The most recent update includes support for the XP 2000+ the mobo is an Abit KR7A-RAID. I presume I could just set it as a 2000+ at least?

Thanks fender I'll check it out. Have you got the same mobo? There's various cpu's available on e-bay but obviously you've got to be aware of what you're buying!
