Did you burn the files to a dvd or a cd disk and what file formats does the dvd player support?
Question Author
burned them to a cd rom. you know the things you can put music onto.to be honest wolfeymole, not really sure if it would have worked or not. from your answer i'm guessing i'd need a dvd thingy to put them onto.as i said,an a**e of it!! and i know nothing of ''file formats''.to me they could be small furry animals.please point me in the right direction.ta
Believe it or not but Windows doesnt support DVD playback and you need a DVD plug in for Windows Media Player in order for you to play dvd's through it.

Alternatively you could download WinDVD.

nVidia do a WMP plug in thats on free trial but i've been using it for years, maybe because i have an nVidia Graphics card i dunno.
It helps paul when you read the post - note to self.

i'm guessing that you either have those as avi or mpg format on the disc.

If not done already you need a DivX encoder to plug in to windows media player. Its so wmp can play those avi files.
I think you have to convert your camera video to the right format , I recommend Movavi Video Suite to you, my friends recommend it to me, this software can help you convert and burn DVD, very easy to use and works perfect for me, here is a guide about it
