Can anyone help?
I have a new HP laptop which will not allow me to download i-tunes, a message comes up saying "the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" even though I am set up as the administrator and as far as I can tell I haven't set up any policies to stop downloads/installations.

Are you using Vista or XP?

iTunes currently doesn't work with Vista (officially, anyway).
My guess is you are using Vista.

In XP the person who install XP automatically becomes the Administrator can do anything.

In Vista, for security reasons, the person who install Vista is NOT the Administrator.

(I know you did not install it but you are the main user)

There is a way round this, but I have not used Vista much so do not know how, but if you search the web you may find the answer.
