i have a packard bell laptop that has wifi built in and i us a bt home hub my friend who lives 150 feet away has not got a landline so i can not take my hub over to his house and use it there. is there a booster i can get so that i can use it in my house aswell as his

theres no way you could operate the hub without a land line lol so no you cannot take the hub over to his house as for recieving the signal it is possible for him to get a signal from his house from a hub at yours place the hub on the window sill in your house nearest his house and have a wireless dongle on a usb extension lead on a pc in a position in his house nearest yours (hanging the dongle out the window could be an idea) as long as theres not many obstacles in the way of the signal like houses you should get a good signal like 30% or so as for boosting the signal no ive not heard of such a device the aerial on the hub is internal so boosters even for a cb radio wont be usefull like a swar gain i think its called, by law the output signal can not exceed that much so the output signal on the hub is probably regulated to the max try the way ive said and you should get a signal
