PLS HELP - Windows Defender

Have hardly any knowledge of computers ..........
Everytime I log onto my laptop an error box appears (this started few weeks ago, not sure why)?

It reads: "Application failed to initialize: 0x800106ba. A problem caused Windows Defender Service to stop.
To start the service, restart your computer or search Help & Support on how to start a service manually" .

I really can't work out what to do.

This is easy to solve. You have the beta version of Defender and it expired in December. You need to remove it and install the latest version.

Remove Windows Defender:-

Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programmes

Highlight Windows Defender, and click Remove.

I recommend restarting the computer when you've done this.

Now download the latest Defender here:

There have been lots of complaints about this, by the way, so you're not alone.

Have removed and restarted as per your advice.
Have clicked on highlighted red address to download. But no longer available??? Could you pls check that microsoft address. MASSIVE THANX 4 UR HELP WITH THIS.
