I have been using a mac since xmas and I have installed a few programes that either haven't worked well or I no longer use for example Opera browser and Veoh player.
With windows I could use the add / remove option to make sure all was removed but on my mac I can't find this, plus I can't find out where the programme uninstallers have gone.
How do I get rid of unwanted installs?
Thanks in advance

That's because it's even easier on the mac! (once you know how)

go to your applications folder where all your apps are, and drag the app you don't want any more to the trash. then erase trash as normal, and your app is gone.

normally that's all you need to do. however, each app will save some small preferences files (usually taking up hardly any drive space), so if you're a bit anal like me (I like everything gone), you can use spotlight to search for the app's name and remove other folders that belong to that all. typically these are in ~/library/application support, where ~/ means your home directory (the one with your name). or you can use (as I do), this great app to do the hard work for you:

Thank you fo3nix I must be a bit anal as well. The thought of useless bits floating around on my lovely mac causes me stress (sad I know when I have 198gb left on my hard drive).
