When I invoke Windows XP's backup wizard, after I've chosen which files I want to back up, the wizard asks me where I want to back them up to. But it doesn't give me a
choice. I want to back up to a CD-R on drive D: But it doesn't give me drive D: as an option; only drive A: (a 3" floppy). Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Windows Backup cannot write to a CD R disk. If you have a CD R/W drive with packet writing, you should be able to backup to an RW disk. Otherwise you can backup to a folder on the hard drive (and then write the result to a CDR) or to a pen drive or a folder on an external hard drive.
