If you press Ctrl + Print Screen, the image goes into the clipboard.
If you then open any image software - even Paint, you can paste the image into it and save as a jpeg
It goes to the clipboard. If you then go to start>run and type mspaint, then select paste, you can edit/save the picture as a jpg image file.
snap !
The only problem I find with PRTSC is that you have to play around with it to make it usable (stretching it in Word and it goes off the screen edge etc) although maybe I was using it incorrectly. I use 'Screenshot Capture' which you can get free from 'Donation Coder.com' It is brilliant and you have full editing features, just like photo editing progs.
