the green light at the bottom of the board flashes when i put the power cable in and turn it on at the back, yet when i press power nothing happens. it worked fine for months until earlier when i tried it, my psu can handle the load as its a 550w and ive tried another power lead to no avail. any ideas? im assuming its either a psu fault or mobo. iv unplugged and replugged all the cables on the motherboard (im a dab hand at pc hardware so i knew what i was doing) yet im stumped. please help. thanks

If your a dab-hand, then it's quite possible that you've overlooked the simplest things! Like, the connection from the front switch to the motherboard, or maybe the front switch has failed (you can check by shorting the motherboard pins with a screwdriver blade, while powered up), or (a common one) a stuck reset button - try disconnecting the reset button from the motherboard.
