I have a problem that on my hard drive there are several programmes that I have deleated, but I can not remove them from the Add - remove programmes section.

They came back on after I had to do a system restore for something, and because there is no data in them they are just an empty file. I would like to get rid of them any ideas?

thanks in advance

Sometimes if you try to click remove anyway and the program has already gone, it will ask you if you want to remove it from the Add/Remove programs list. Else, I personally would remove them from the registry as described here:

Deleting that key will remove a program from the Add/Remove programs list. Careful when deleting things from your registry though, you might want to set a system restore point.
