help needed, how do you go about sorting a problem on a desktop, it starts to boot then throws up warning.(cant load explorer exe reload windows)now since the cd is inoperative how do you start? do you format and reload if so how,i seem to remember that there is a key sequence that if typed brings up a blue screen with format instructions but cant remember.

Alter the boot sequence in the BIOS to CD as the first boot option, load the installation CD, reboot to reinstall Windows and you should be presented with the option to format prior to install.
