PC computer games - Player 1 vs Player 2

I presume the answer is 'no', but do you know if two monitors can be set up to the same PC to display player 1 and player 2's screens separately. i.e., rather than a split screen on your standard PC monitor, can a piece of software or something display both players' separate screens on the 2 different monitors. I know i explained that badly but i am drunk so its allowed :)

it can be done but it all depends on your pc. you can buy a box that plugs into your usb and then you plug the monitor into that, they're about �50
