Is it possible to install Windows 2000 & retain a working copy of Windows 98 that can be accessed via dual booting? And if so how simple is it to configure?

easy. install win98 and then install win2k over the top, ensuring you do so to a different directory. Win2k will then give you the option of either OS on boot up.
