Problems copying mpg/jpgs to CD-R and playback issues

I have been using Nero 6 to burn my mpeg and jpegs onto CR-Rs with usually no problem but I burned 7 discs recently after my holiday and five were ok but two won't play in my DVD player. I can however play them through my laptop and all the data is there. I have tried copying the data back to my laptop from the disks and re-burning them but the same thing happens, I can't play them on a dvd player. Any ideas please anyone??? Many thanks!
