Don't Look at the HP DJ 5550 for about 135 it is the muts nuts for value and quality and you get new print heads every time you buy a cartridge, the epson's are fixed so if a jet fails............ work it out. You can refill the carts (I have) but eventually they will fail. So what, a new cart is cheaper than a new printer. Unless you want edge to edge printing this is the one to get. I love mine. They also state that the colours won't fade for 70 years, sorry but I can't confirm that bit.(my Tardis is in for it's 700,000 year service) I can say that all my pics look super and I have not used the optional photo cart. All I can say is unless one wishes to print CD's direct and just want good prints even on plain paper the HP 5550 is super. Even PCPro said so www.pcpro.co.uk
