run a total scan, all files and folders, EVERYTHING !!

sounds to me like you may have a virus doin its darndest to cripple your system...

you should be able to "delete" the programs you dont want.

do a search for itunes,(start button-search) as an example and delete the files from the list found. had to remove a program that way myself recently.

DONT delete files that are shared, just the ones you know you dont want or need.

got till wednesday but in mean time im left with a severley poorly computer!

spurslady.

sorry to be the one to tell you this, but i suspect you WILL loose your music !! had to re-boot this comp 18 months ago, due to a virus. we lost 100s of photo`s. the funny thing was i had just purchased a pack of dvd`s to write all my pix to.

before you do re-boot, have you got up to date security on your system ? if so, make sure its all switched on. (could be too late now though) if you havnt got security, see if you can borrow a copy of "McAfee" home computer security. it doesnt need a security code to install it, so you can use a friends...
