Can anyone help , when I go to shut my computer down, and press the shut down icon, it goes through logging off, then shutting down, but doesnt shut down and I need to physically hold the off button to switch off. Any advice?

If you told us what operating system you are using it would help diagnose your problem. The problem you are experiencing is a known fault with some versions of Win98 and WinME. There is a patch to fix this. If you want the patch and cannot find it elsewhere, e-mail me as I have a copy somewhere.
