Can anyone explain why I am getting an ever increasing amount of "!" against my songs? It means that iTunes cannot locate the song I know this but how come? I am not deleting the songs.

Thanks

What sort of computer is it? I get this because my music is stored on an external hard drive which my Mac doesn't mount automatically, this means iTunes can't find the music, all I need to do is manually mount the harddrive and they are OK again.

Once iTunes has displayed the icon it doesn't seem to update itself until you play the file again.

If you're on windows it might be that the dirve your files are on has been mapped to a different letter than it was when the music was added.

Hi,

I am running Windows XP. You are right about the location of the music, I appear to have an iTunes library in mor than one location. It is just a matter of getting the right location now.
