Please can someone help. Will an MS Office 2003 standard version upgrade package successfully upgrade a 1997 version. My boss currently uses Outlook Express (though not very often!) and would now prefer to use Outlook, but I understand the 97 version of Outlook has lots of problems attributed to it and MS may not have the patches to sort them out. You say your boss uses Outlook Express, but this is not part of Office but is free with Windows and IE.

Outlook Express is different from Outlook that is supplied with Office.

If he really IS using Outlook Express with an up to date version if IE then it is not at Office 97 level.

Have a look on the MS web site for help on upgrading.
