stop motion with an ordinary camcorder??

Does anyone know how I can do stop motion with an ordinary Sharp ViewCam (model VL-E630H) ??

it doesn't appear to have this function in the instructions. I know you can get separate keypads for use with a PVR machine but will one of these work on this camcorder?

Or is there another way?

You may be able to do it though some software.

iStopmotion for the apple mac allows you to set - through the computer - the frame rate etc and then press the space bar to take the picture.

You might try a search for stop motion software for the PC.
