I Have A Raid 1 Working For My Windows - Can One Use This For Linux Ubuntu?

Now that I have acquired some experience with Linux, I wish to continue using the RAID 1 as my digital security storage with this Operating System. I will stop using Windows.

As Windows has NTFS, I would use the same for Linux.
>> Although that is safe, can this RAID be improved using EXT4? (At the moment, I am not sure whether Linux will/can use a RAID system.)

Any advice on this concept would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

I normally disapprove of people responding to questions here with "Why don't you google it?" but, as I'm out of my depth, I'm going to suggest doing just that anyway.

'Googling 'linux raid' brings up plenty of threads which suggest that Linux has RAID drivers available (together with plenty of other information) but I don't know enough about the subject to direct you to a particular one. Hopefully you'll be able to find what you need though.

(Adding 'ext4' to the search string also looks like it might produce relevant results).
