I have just had a call ( at 07:45 ! ) from an Asian chap, who insisted he was calling from Microsoft. When I asked him did he know what the bloody time was, he said ...yes, 08:45 !

Don't they have daylight saving on the Indian subcontinent ?

This call came from 01706 218826 by the way !

I keep getting them from someone claiming to be from talktalk, telling me my router is faulty. They can't answer my security questions though.

I find it difficult to believe that these calls are originating from Lancs. There must be a way a UK geographical telephone number is being used from abroad, otherwise it would be far too easy to nab these beggers.

Is there a techie on today, that can explain how UK geographical numbers can be used from abroad ?
