Storing Favourites On Chrome

is there an easy way to store favourite websites on google chrome, i have started using this fairly recently and it seems some sites appear in the bar across the top and some appear in boxes below the google logo. is there an easy way or a dedicated area to store favorites? is it something to do with the bookmark/star at top right of page? thank as usual for any advice Re this

yes if you touch om the star at end of address bar it will turn to yellow and give you the chance to rename the page..it will then appear in your drop down menu of bookmarks ..if the top br is full already

Yes as murray has said and then go to the right hand corner of the screen to the three horizontal bars, click on and Bookmarks should be about 6 th down.
