I have connected my old (3 years) epson printer to my new PC and after advice on here, installed it using the supplied disc, but it seems to be printing pictures, (I compile picture quizzes), a bit pinky/orangey colour. Is there any help out there for me, thanks in advance.

Toners need replacing
is your ink low?
Question Author
ink is all ok and printer was fine on old pc just a couple of hours before, is it time to get a new one or unistall and reinstall it again?
Could be a colour management problem.

What model of printer are you using?
Are your printer drivers up to date on your new PC?
Does your printer have an 'advanced' settings option?
Is the operating system on the new PC the same as the old PC?
Just to clarify, did you download the printer drivers from Epsons support website or use the CD?

The Epson website would have the most up to date versions. Ensure they are compatible with your O/S

i used the cd that was supplied with the printer.

my old pc was windows xp and new pc is windows 8

sorry, pressed wrong key ..... new pc is windows 7
Download the latest drivers from Epsons support site and install them. Probably the CD drivers are out of date and have been superseded.

Have you run a nozzle check? Might just be a blocked jet.

Ive been on the Epson support web site and entered details of my printer, loads of things came up and, to tell you the truth, I don't know what or what not to download, there is so much!! I have an Epson Stylus s21 and am trying to connect it to a Windows 7 PC. Any help much appreciated, thanks.
Have a look at the FAQ page on print quality problems:
http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/corporatesite/products/mainunits/faq/3542/1366

Suggestions on the FAQ page seem to be:
- 1. run Nozzle Check
- 2. check age of ink cartridges
- 5. check printer driver settings

There are step-by-step instructions on the FAQ page.
