To connect Computer to a TV what ports do I use on both and what type of lead (assuming it can be done by 1 lead. Thanks for any help.

It depends upon what laptop you have and what TV you have. If both are pretty new you probably can use a standard HDMI cable

If you are talking PC then I think you will need a graphics card with 'video out'.

Its a PB PC to a Hitachi TV.
what model Hitachi TV?

Its a 24" Combination LED TV/DVD L24DG07U
If both have an HDMI connection you will only need HDMI cable tescos ones work fine.You get different lengths so check what you need.
Use HDMI cable connect the TV with computer, then open the TV input mode : HDMI connect. It works on LG TV.

Thanks for the replies I assume the connection is made between the Computer and TV and NOT between the computer monitor and the TV

Have been checking my computer (Packard Bell imedia D3526) it appears I do not have a HDM1 connection. I've tried looking for the manual but no luck.
