My father has an Acer Aspire 3691 and he is inable to access the interne at the moment, the wireless indicator is showing orange. I am guessing that this is the problem, can anyone confirm this and advise me what to do. Also on the laptop and desktop while my kids are trying to play games on facebook the shockwave flash keeps coming up as not responding, what can i do about this

Is the orange light on the laptop or on the router? On my router the light goes orange when there's a probem, I generally switch it off for a few seconds then turn it back on, it usally does the trick. If the orange light is on the laptop, could he have inadvertently switched wifi off from the button, I don't know where it is on the laptop but would have thought it'd be near the light.

Re the other problem, have a look to see if there are any updates for flash.

thanks to both of you for your help. shortly after posting the question i discovered he had switched the old router of so that both computers run on the same router. He had 2 because when he originally signed up to the supplier they linked it to the wrong number and it took a while to sorted out.
