My laptop is telling me I have 2 identical I P addresses. How can I get rid of one?

Last time I had something like that I had more than one computer on the network. Do you ? Turn off the laptops/phones/desktops/whatever and then reboot them all. Perhaps they'll not get confused and allocate the same address ? Seemed to work for me.
